after pregnancy weight loss in hindi | CAN HIGH FSH ACTUALLY HELP YOU CONCEIVE

after pregnancy weight loss in hindi

Trying To Have A Baby Over 40 With High FSH

Most people who are trying to conceive probably know all about FSH (FSH stands for "Follicle Stimulating Hormone").

What were usually told is that the higher the FSH, the lower the chances you will conceive (under 10 is usually considered workable - but read on...)

Im frequenty asked what my FSH was when I conceived my daughter. My answer is "I dont know" because I had discontinued fertility treatments and I never had it tested after my initial "work-up" when I was 38. Im glad I didnt have it tested again...it probably would have served no purpose but to discourage me. Im sure my FSH had gone up - but maybe thats why I got pregnant!

weight lose tips during pregnancy | Its a wrap take two

weight lose tips during pregnancy

As you may or may not know, I am forever messing about with my nails. And whilst my nails have sometimes looked like maybe my dog did them (you can see my failed nail art post here), nothing seems to deter me and my experimentation knows no bounds!

Whilst gone are the days of treating myself to a manicure and pedicure pre-Christmas, I still had some time (!) to try and do something with my nails so I was party season ready.  I had already tried the Ted Baker Nail Wraps before in the shade black floral, and you can read my review on those here along with how to apply them.  I was so pleased after using them last time, I decided to try them again in a different shade for Christmas.

My only grumble with the original black floral shade was that the pattern didnt show up too well on my very short nails.  So this time I chose a different shade (helpfully, there isnt a single mention of the shade on the packaging), I can only describe this shade as black with pretty oriental-style lilies on.  This pattern actually repeated on every single nail wrap and the pattern was evenly spread from the base of the wrap to the top.  This meant that even with my very short nails the pattern could be clearly seen this time.

I applied the wraps on Christmas Day and it took me around 30 minutes to apply the full pack.  This time included time chasing my daughter and stopping her from riding our dog, Pablo.  So all in all not too bad!  I had previously applied a clear top coat varnish to the wraps when I had last applied these, but I didnt this time (I had lost the nail polish...well, my daughter has actually hid it in an extremely good hiding place!). Having said this, the lack of a top coat didnt seem to make any difference to the longevity of the wraps.

These little beauties lasted a full week before I peeled them off, and to be fair I think they could have stayed on a few more days. This is pretty amazing in itself as I am forever washing my hands, forgetting to use washing up gloves and over Christmas week I forget the amount of times I had to tear some toy open from its Alcatraz type encasing. For the cost of £7.50 I cannot recommend these wraps enough.  I cant seem to find them on the Boots website anywhere, so you will need to pop in store to find them, before I bulk buy them all!

Thanks for reading,

baby weight loss tips | A failed trip to Mars a white rabbit and a new muse

baby weight loss tips

Hello! How are you? I hope you all have had a lovely, lovely Christmas? And me? Well, its been eventful...there may or may not have been tears...but I will come on to that in a minute. Remember my mission, just before Christmas, as though I was planning a trip to Mars and would never return? You know, I tried to cram everything in, needed to buy everything in sight and see every single relation and friend all before the big day? Well that little plan certainly back fired.  If I had have been on an actual Mars mission, lets just say I would have been kicked out before I had even fastened my seat belt.

The run up to Christmas was hectic to say the least and Christmas Day, surprise surprise, I began to feel ill.  Very achy, like I had been running (but the only actual running I had done was to get another chocolate). This continued, and continued, and this achy body and now a cold has pretty much covered my entire Christmas week (hence a few tears at feeling so rough). But dont feel too sorry for me. It was kinda self inflicted with all the rushing abut I had been doing and it certainly hasnt stopped me enjoying Christmas.  I just havent really felt myself, and I certainly havent evoked any of the glamour I had envisaged for myself over the festive period. I saw Pablo T Dog (our border terrier) visibly do a double take when I emerged like a cave woman from the bedroom the other day!

As the festive season draws to a close, I am beginning to feel better and I thought I would share with you a few snaps of what Ive been up to this last week. We actually had snow in Derbyshire on Boxing day night!!! It was just beautiful!!! We had actually planned a trip to Chatsworth House with my parents in Bakewell, Derbyshire the following day, and we were lucky enough to drive through some of the most breathtaking Derbyshire scenery, heavily laden with freshly fallen snow.

Arriving at Chatsworth House the magic continued as we entered the world of Alice In Wonderland. Every year at Chatsworth they have a theme and the entire ground floor of the grand house is decorated to that theme.  So, down the rabbit hole we went...

to tiny doors and treats...

to meet froggy footmen...

and to a mad hatters tea party...

and a game of croquet.

We had such a lovely afternoon and the attention to detail was amazing. When we got home to Derbyshire the snow was still there and so we took Baba out sledging.  Wait. Who am I kidding? We all went sledging. Heres a picture of me going reallllllllly fast :-)

And have you maybe guessed what my Christmas present was this year?! A camera!!! Anything that moves now gets papped. I am like the walking paparazzi.  My new muse: Pablo T Dog.  He doesnt seem to mind posing for my picture taking. And what a handsome fellow.

And thats been my week.  Now I really much dash as there is still a hell of alot of chocolate that really needs to be eaten before the new year. I hope you enjoy tonights festivities, whatever you are up to.  And please pop back tomorrow as I discuss why you really dont need a brand new you for the new year.

Thanks for reading,

healthy pregnancy weight loss | WOMAN GETS PREGNANT MULTIPLE TIMES NATURALLY AFTER FAILED IVF

healthy pregnancy weight loss

You have to read this story.  She sounds much like me.  A former IVF patient who never succeeded in becoming pregnant during treatment gets pregnant multiple times over the age of 40 with only one fallopian tube (she previously had an ectopic).  The difference is, she wound up with four children...all in her 40s! Many women do get very fertile in as they get older.  Read more:

From the article:

I almost laughed when he insisted I take a pregnancy test before prescribing hormone tablets to help. I knew I was far too old to be a mum again,” she says.

But, for the third time in her 40s, Louise’s test was positive.
More shocking news was just around the corner when the 12-week scan showed she was expecting twins.“At first, the sonographer could see two sacs but only one embryo. I thought I’d been carrying twins but lost one along the way.
"But they told me to come back 10 days later for another scan, and that’s when we saw the twins were both OK,” Louise recalls.
“Most women find their fertility decreases as they get older, but mine boomed.
“One doctor suggested that maybe my body started releasing more eggs as I neared the menopause but there’s no solid explanation.

Trying To Conceive Over 40 - Pregnancy Over 40

One of the most frustrating things about trying to conceive month after month is that you cant really see whats going on. Lets face it, most of us dont have a high powered microscope hanging around our house - and even if we did, how on earth would we capture all the events involved with conception...Did the sperm meet the egg? Did the embryo find its way down the fallopian tube? Did the embryo find a good spot to implant? If it did implant, is it getting the right mix of hormones and nutrients? It goes on and on...if you think about it, its a miracle anyone gets pregnant.

So how do you deal with moving blindly through the getting pregnant maze? Well...heres how I dealt with it. I made my own step by step, frame by frame story board in my mind. Thats what I call visualization. I would picture the sperm meeting the egg, the egg moving effortlessly through the fallopian tube (I only had one), I would visualize a little fairy (similar to Tinkerbell) helping the egg attach and so on. Sound crazy? Maybe, but all I can say is that it works. I truly believe that your mind has the ability to control actual physical processes in your body. At least for me, the best way to communicate to my body through my mind was with the use of pictures.

Its true, a picture is worth a thousand words and its a heck of a lot easier than trying to use a microscope.

I received so many inquiries about visualization, that I developed my CD on guided visualization and meditation. Learn more here:

Meditation and Visualization CD (www.getpregnantover40.com)

Whether or not you think this CD would be helpful, you should develop your own method of visualizing what you want. Not only does it help you to attract what you want into your life, it can also be a great stress management tool. Its hard to be in a bad mood when you think about your soon to be baby.

post pregnancy weight loss eating plan | PREGNANT NATURALLY AFTER 7 FAILED IVFS

post pregnancy weight loss eating plan

Wow, what a story. This article talks about a woman who tried to get pregnant for 14 years.
She had numerous failed IVFs and even tried surrogates. Imagine the time, money, and emotional turmoil she went through only to get pregnant naturally.

25% Of Women With Failed IVF Go On To Get Pregnant Naturally

She did have complications with her pregnancy, but I wonder how much sooner she may have gotten pregnant had she not been through all the rigors of fertility treatments.  Last Friday, I posted an article about how 25% of women failing IVF go on to have natural pregnancies.  Heres another one... read more:

From the article:
Lucy Fitzpatrick gave birth to Louis on her 40th birthday after seven attempts at IVF, a twin miscarriage and two tries at using surrogates. She finally became pregnant naturally, but then developed serious complications and gave birth prematurely.
The property developer from central London, who is now 47, was helped to have her son by the research centre at St Thomas Hospital, funded by baby charity Tommys. Last week, she returned with Louis, seven, to thank its head of obstetrics Professor Andy Shennan and his team.
In an interview with the Standard, Mrs Fitzpatrick, who conceived Louis naturally, called for more funding for research into preventing complications during pregnancy.

pregnancy weight loss transformations | The Happiness Project

pregnancy weight loss transformations

There arent many books that I can say have changed my life.  I dont mean anything drastic, like a book I had in my pocket stopped a bullet or prevented my imminent death from a lion. But I mean a book that has resonated so much with me, that I reflect on its words years and years later.  A book that I pull off the shelf and delve into when I am need of some inspiration or a pick-me-up. This is how I feel about The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin.  As January is the time where there seems to be an overwhelming urge to reflect on our lives, on our years and happiness, I thought this would be a good time to share with you the book that I would recommend to get on your book shelf, or your kindle, well, right now.

First off, its not your typical read.  This is an account by  a lady called Gretchen Rubin on her happiness project to, well, be more happier. Now secondly, this isnt a self help book where by you have to do weird activities like chant at the moon or go and sing to your neighbours dog. This is Gretchens story about the things she tried to do to make her appreciate the things she felt she wasnt appreciating enough.  To try and fight-right in her marriage and boost her own well being.  The brilliant thing about this book is that Gretchen is just like you or me. She doesnt write her account balancing in a tree on a remote island. She hasnt overcome adversity or is struggling with a life limiting illness. And this is what makes the book completely relatable.

Gretchen embarks on a 12 month happiness project and each month she dedicates her month to trying to change and improve little things in her life, like boosting her energy, her marriage and being a parent. But dont think this book is just for parents.  I first bought this book many years ago before I had even had my daughter, and its words resonated with me back then just as much as they do now.

Her journey is documented in a way that really reflects everyday life. Rubin makes such accurate comments on life and how we think. She observes that, "the days are long, but the years are short". And how often do you want to hurry your day along and then all of a sudden a week has passed and you are yearning for the years to go slower? She also shows that it isnt all walks in the park, and I find her chapter on love and learning to fight right with her husband so accurate and true.

I find this book just so inspiring, and I find myself going back to it at certain times in my life, whether that be if Im feeling down, if Im spending way too much time nagging at my husband or if I just feel like Im taking things for granted.  A quick dip into this book and I feel that it sort of gives me a little wake up call and off I go again.

I recently wrote about how everyone talks about a New Year and a New You (you can read that here), and this book really isnt about finding a new you. Its about being appreciative, making small changes and really living the life that you have, right here and right now. The majority of us have in our lives all the love and material things we could possibly wish for, its just a case of seeing it all, like Gretchen reflects in the book

"I found the ruby slippers had been on my feet all along".

Have you read this book? What did you think? Would you read it now? Please let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
Thank you so much for reading,
